Many Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCT) are scheduled to be shut down by April 1, 2013 due to the effects of the March 1, 2013 Budget Control Act – a.k.a. the “sequestration” law. This proposed shutdown would have extremely negative effects on overall safety to the travelling public and pilots flying in and out of Cheyenne Regional Airport as our ATCT is on that list.
