Driver Training

All persons requiring unescorted access to the non-movement or movement areas are required to complete an online driver training course to obtain an Airport Driver’s Permit. All drivers on the Airport must have at a minimum a State issued Driver’s License, and proof of insurance for the vehicle they plan to drive on the Airport (FBO and business vehicle drivers are exempt from providing proof of insurance).

In accordance with Federal Aviation Administration directives, all movement area drivers must complete this training annually, while all non-movement area drivers must complete this training bi-annually. Failure to complete the training will result in denial of access.

Depending on the level of access, applicants must do one of the following:

All other applicants with a need to drive on the NON-MOVEMENT RAMPS must complete the following steps:

  • Fill application provided below
  • Take the following to the Airport Operations office
    1. Application
    2. Drivers License or any form of Government Identification
  • A sign on and password will be issued for the web-based computer training course
  • Complete the online training for the non-movement areas
  • A permit (and passcode for the vehicle gate) will be issued to the applicant pending successful completion of the driver coursework.

Those WITH a need to drive on the airport’s MOVEMENT AREAS must provide proof evidencing the need for access (typically FBO, Wyoming Air National Guard, FAA, etc.) and must:

  • Fill application provided below
  • Take the following to the Airport Administration office:
    1. Application
    2. Test results
    3. Drivers License
    4. Auto registration and Insurance
  • A login and password will be issued to complete the online training course.
  • Complete the online training movement and non-movement area courses.
  • Complete a practical test with a designated instructor or with Airport Operations
  • A permit (and passcode for the vehicle gate) will be issued to the applicant pending successful completion of the driver course work


If you do not have access to a printer please stop by our office and bring with you:
